In international logistics, prohibited items mainly include the following categories:

Various hazardous materials that are explosive, flammable, corrosive, toxic, strongly acidic or alkaline, and radioactive, such as detonators, gunpowder, firecrackers, gasoline, alcohol, kerosene, tung oil, lacquer, matches, pesticides, etc.

Anesthetic drugs and psychotropic substances, such as opium, morphine, cocaine, etc.

Items prohibited from circulation or delivery by national laws and regulations, such as arms, weapons, domestic or foreign currency, etc.

Items that are prone to decay, such as fresh fish and meat.

Items that obstruct public health, such as bones (including cremated ashes), unpasteurized animal skins, unpasteurized animal bones, etc.

Reactionary newspapers, books, propaganda materials, and obscene or indecent items.

All kinds of living animals (except bees, leeches, silkworms, parasites that are tightly sealed and certified for shipment by medical and health research institutions, and insects used as drugs or to kill pests).

The distinction between general cargo and sensitive cargo is mainly based on the nature of the items and transportation risks. General goods usually refer to unlicensed, non electric, non magnetic, non liquid, non flammable, non corrosive, non firearms and ammunition, non imitation, non anti-dumping goods, and goods that are not prohibited or restricted by the state from export. They do not pose any special risks during transportation and do not require inspection. Sensitive goods refer to goods subject to legal inspection (including goods listed in the legal inspection catalog and goods outside the catalog), mechanical and electrical products, high-tech products, dangerous goods, as well as goods prohibited or restricted from import and export by the state, such as precious metals or resources. In addition, food, drugs, cosmetics, liquids, powders, items with batteries, magnetic materials, etc. are usually considered sensitive goods in international express delivery.

Prohibited items refer to the above-mentioned prohibited items and other items explicitly prohibited by national laws and regulations, such as various branded items, luxury goods, etc. These items often involve legal risks such as copyright infringement. It should be noted that the specific list of prohibited items and prohibited items may vary depending on different international logistics companies and countries/regions. Therefore, it is best to consult relevant logistics companies or consult relevant regulations before shipping.

Overall, in order to ensure the smooth operation of international logistics, senders need to understand and comply with relevant regulations and restrictions, ensure that the shipped items do not fall within the scope of prohibited or banned goods, and correctly distinguish between general cargo and sensitive cargo in order to choose appropriate transportation methods and channels.
